What are levels of care?

Levels of care refer to how much assistance a person needs with health management, as well as activities of daily living. Activities of daily living are tasks like dressing, taking a bath or shower, using the restroom, and eating.

Additional considerations include whether the individual can take prescription medications or manage chronic conditions independently, or whether some assistance from a caregiver is needed.

Pleasant View Communities Contracts and Cost

Plan Types

  1. Type CFee-For-Service Contracts
  2. Type DRental Agreements

Type C or Fee for Service contracts generally have a lower entrance fee and monthly service fee than Type A contracts, but do not include expenses for assisted living or skilled nursing. These services are paid for as needed at the market rate, and are often difficult to predict.

Benevolent Care

This community offers benevolent care.

Benevolent Care is the discounting of fees for current residents who have exhausted their assets. It is generally only available to residents who appeared likely to be able to cover the full cost of their care at the time of application. Communities which offer Benevolent Care typically guarantee that residents can stay in the community if they outlive their assets, dependent on endowment funds.

  • Would give a zero if I could. Disgrace of a place. States they are a team/family that “lead with their hearts.” Only place they lead people is out the door. Fire happy.   • Unfortunately we had a really bad experience with their "Care at Home" services. They ended up terminating care for no obvious reason with the minimum 10 calendar day notice, leaving us scrambling to provide essential services for a disabled person. I don't like to give bad reviews but I would really like toMore

  • My mother is here. The food is horrible!!! When she came, the food had a good reputation. Now it is not. In fact, the Office of the Aging was here recently having a meeting with residents about the sub par food service. We may look into moving her.

  • My Mom is staying at the Rehab now and we feel she is not attended to like she should be. The aides and Nurses are always saying that they need more help. The Nurse comes in to do a breathing treatment and then does not return. The aide put her on the potty one day,More

  • Pleasant view is a greedy place . there always understaffed if ur look in for long term look elsewhere. My mother worked here for 30 plus years and had to resign because they brought in someone they could pay the minimumi too. This place sickens me..
