Physical therapy is the bomb! Absolutely fantastic! The nurses do a really great job with their clientele. There is quite a spectrum of need for care here, but I am not forgotten about and my needs were met everyday for me to get better.

I am not at all impressed with this facility. It is old and outdated and lacks simple care. I have yet to meet a staff member that stands out. In the time that my mother has been here, going on 2 months, I have spoken to a few residents of this facility and all have the same complaint of not having availability to water or ice. The only snacks available are those located in a vending machine. If the resident doesn't have family that visits regularly and gives them snacks or supplies they are left with nothing and feeling lonely. I have not witnessed one aide go out of there way to make a patient feel more comfortable or ease their worry. I have witnessed countless eye rolls, limited availability to talk to a care provider and a lot of waiting. I spent 5 hours hours there just yesterday and was not once offered a chair to sit in. I watched my mother sit in soiled bed linens with the same contamination on the floor for 2 hours. I eventually cleaned it myself to limit possible further damage to her health. The quality of food is less of that of a school cafeteria and at times is completely unrecognizable. My mother is diabetic and often receives food items that a diabetic should not be given. There are no other options. If you don't like the meal, there is nothing else offered in its place. Isn't that considered a form of neglect? If you dare question any of the staff you are immediately met with attitude, after all they have schooling in this field. Well as a parent, I have common sense. I know it is neglectful to not provide a child with the basic needs of a clean environment, a clean bottom and food options. I know it is neglectful to not provide a basic need such as water. I know enough to know these rooms should be cleaned daily and clearly that is not the case. As a former child care provider there are expectations set in place for our children, shouldn't these expectations also be in place for our parents? Would you ignore a child in pain for 35 minutes because you need to feed another? My mother was ignored yesterday for just that reason. How is that just? Think long and hard before you need to place a loved one in this facility, especially one of sound mind. This facility has certainly caused my mother stress and anxiety to the point she is afraid to sleep at night. No one should have to suffer this way no matter the reason.

All in all things are pretty good. Nurses and aides are friendly, right on top of things when you need something. People in therapy are terrific! Food could be better, not too bad tasting, though.

My sister stayed here for a few weeks, the nurses and aides were phenomenal. Very patient with her, she never had to wait for anything, so supportive and caring. Every nurse was great, from Tom, the nurse, Sandra, Patrice, Cathy, and others who's names I don't remember. I was amazed, the care was outstanding. Everyone talks badly about nursing homes, but I cannot even tell you how great Tom and Cathy were. They went out of their way for her.

My physical and occupational therapists were wonderful! Very loving and supportive. My aide, I forget her name, Mika or Misha, this girl could not do enough for you. Checked on you every time she came by. Went out of her way for you. When you're good, you're good. Always in with a smile, no stone face.
